The Numbers for K4OJ. We don't have them broken down into per band numbers,
but we only worked 20 and 40 meters. Listened a couple of times on 15, but
nary a soul. We were a sucker for punishment running CW low power in the
same category as N4TO, so we were resigned to "WE'RE NUMBER TWO!!!!" going
into the weekend.

Due to an antiquated computer, we used an older logging program and thus
the inability to give you numbers in 5 different perspectives.

QSOS on 40 and 20 Meters: 2425
Mults: 74

Kevin, N4KM and I went north for both days. We covered all of the panhandle
and on Sunday, took I10 all the way to 95, and then to I4. Was able to
make good time on Sunday due to the roads. The love bugs appeared to be a
South Florida Phenomena as the nose of the SUV didn't look anything like the
photos some of the guys have posted and the windshield was cleaned only once
in Escambia county. DX was good with 20 countries worked. Still need to
remember to chase some mults as we missed NE and there was a Nebraska QSO
party going on!

We're not sure what the chirp and rough signal were about. Perhaps a
battery going bad or perhaps SWR being higher when the antennas bent back.
We had two hamsticks on the top with two bases. Have in years past used one
base and three hamsticks with one hamstick vertical and the other two
hamsticks 45 degrees to the right and left of the vertical one. From
everyone's comments, the signal was better this year using one antenna each
base.

Total Mileage was right at 1100 miles for the weekend. I want to publically
thank Kevin, N4KM for allowing me to ride along with him with his SUV and
rig. Of course, we had the same condx as everyone else which was
disappointing. Thought our whammy would be the gas prices instead of the
double whammy of gas prices and condx. Still, was plenty of fun but it
would be great to have good conditions.

Thanks to all who followed us and the other mobiles and making it such as
rush when entering a new county. Wait until next year!
