First of all, this was another on-the-air operation to honor Vic, N4TO who
I had the pleasure of riding around Florida with numerous times in past
FQPs. The word got out to his FOC friends and we enjoyed working a number of
them with the NN4TO callsign.

Secondly, a HUGE thanks to Ron, K8NZ for hosting me again this year after a
2-year hiatus. We had a tremendous time together and everything worked
flawlessly. We're really glad that activity and scores seemed to be generally
up again this year.

Other than one missed turn on Saturday, we stuck to our schedule. Due to
long delays due to construction in Tampa, we chose ahead of time to skip PIN
this time, so we "only" hit 50 counties. And it's hard to count NAS since
we arrived there in the last minute on Saturday evening and made a whopping 3
QSOs.

We logged and sent by hand. Total is around 2740 QSOs raw, unduped.

No idea on the multiplier. We missed ME, SD, ND and AK within the US, I
think. HP was about the most exotic mult we worked.

We enjoyed having dinner Saturday south of Jax with Team KG (K5KG and
VE7ZO), Team W4AN (K4BAI and KU8E), and Chuck, NO5W. Pat, W5WMU was also
supposed to join us, but was not able to, for reasons not yet known. He was
definitely on, so I'm less worried than I was Sunday AM.

Lots of VE3 activity again, and lots of out-of-state stations seemed to be
fairly serious. I've seen a lot of sweeps from the out-of-staters, so we
managed to cover all the counties well. Thanks to everyone for doing your
part!

The new log robot has been interesting to work with so far. I have a long
post coming soon on that topic.

More on our effort later, but wanted to get the score "posted" anyway.

vy 73, Dan
