Unfortunately I will not be making the FQP as a rover this year. If you haven't heard the news K4BAI was picked as one of the WRTC teams captains for one
of the USA-East teams after someone had to drop out. He picked me to go to PY with him. Since John and I also went to PJ4 for ARRL CW and now to PY
asking the wife to let me also do FQP was asking alittle too much ( I owe her BIG TIME letting me go to Brazil !!)

Anyway... getting to the purpose of this email... I hope all the rovers try 40 meters during the daytime hours when the pileup dries up on 20. There will be plenty
of SECC members who would like to work you. Also I think you will find 40 meters might be almost as good as 20. In the GQP I was working CO early in the afternoon and a CA station called me at 2 PM on 40 SSB. I also seem to remember CU2JT called me very early on 40 meters - sometime like 2100Z or so on 40 CW. 15 meters is probably going to be dead so the 40 and 20 meter combination might work good for your resonator combination. Same goes for you fixed station. I know at least K4BAI , N4PN and myself will be there to work you on 40.

See everyone in a week....
