I would expect to see "Pete" instead of "001"
It needs to match whatever name you use on the air.
A less important question: How long of a name can you log?
The spec implies 10 characters, but it's workable if at least six or seven.
If you copy "Rumpelstiltskin" what happens?
This has actually happened in Sprint before... especially the "Internet
Sprint" where things got really weird where you could incur a 10,000 point
penalty if you used the name "Butthead".
