[Cwo] Log checking/processing

Leave CWT alone. It works, everyone is quite happy with it and we should
not tamper with success. The fact that there is no log checking has not
raised any concerns by anyone.

Al,

The CWT is a horse of a different breed. In fact, no logs are submitted at
all. After the event, you put in your totals on 3830. I have some logs from
CWT that I would be happy to give to Matt. CWT is actually unmanaged; the
closest to a manager is Art, KZ5D, who coordinates it, sort of. John, K6MM,
grabs the numbers from 3830 and posts them to the Website. That's about it.
It's really a lot like NS - no formal log submissions, just "claims."

I finally talked with Matt, WX5S who is the brains behind the CQP log
checking software.
I sent him an invite to join this reflector. He has several suggestions
that seem reasonable / interesting.

He strongly suggested a closer tie between CWO and CWT. While I've been
concentrating only on CWO, his suggestion might make sense in the larger
picture. However, I don't want to go stepping on any toes, and I don't know
who is managing CWT. A little help here is appreciated.

The main request is to get some sample logs from CWT for Matt to study. This
may be easy to do just by going out to some of the entrants and asking for
them. This can give him some feel for log quality, and what calls are being
worked. CWT is quite different in the sense that it's much more laid back
not requiring formal log checking. Would CWT be open to asking for logs? It
might provide us with better CWO management tools. While CWT is supported by
several modern loggers, I don't think there is any particular Cabrillo
format required, so I have no idea what sort of log these loggers produce.
It might be a real mixed bag and completely different than what CWO will
get.
