    Straight-line distance (corrected for obstacles) was 4.2 km. 
Climb was about 85m or so.

    Brian was slowed when his attenuator died, and he found the last 3
T's by tuning off frequency (and other tricks).

    It was Brian's first time using aggressive cleats, and I think he
was impressed by the way they worked in our Midwestern death ravines. 
Anyone who competed at Ft Ancient or Mounds in 2003 knows what I'm
talking about.  (Different location---same basic terrain.)  Unlike
Mounds, though, there were no bunkers of greenbriar concertina---It's
not the right time of year---yet.
