Dale,

I saw this posting about the frequency on the website top page last night.

"7/20/03 - After several attempts we have finally settled on a homing
frequency for the VHF event, 144.425 Mhz."

FYI, The search and rescue mission that interrupted my last email to you had
a happy ending. It was for a 4 year old and a find occurred shortly after we
were paged.

73's

Jerry

Subject: [usa2003ardf] 2m beacon frequency

The web site lists the 2m TX frequency as 144.565, but
doesn't list the beacon. Can we get some idea of what
part of the band it might be in? I will need to realign
some of the receivers to peak them down in the 144 range,
and it will make a difference if they also have to be
able to tune up to 147.565 for the beacon.

80m looks fine - a 50 kHz tuning range (plus some allowance
for RX drift) should be sufficient.

  Thanks,

     - Dale WB6BYU
