This thread always seems somewhat convoluted to me so I’m not quite certain how to reply in the correct order. I apologize if I am messing up.

I’m responding to John Mussleman’s post about the picture page. John and I created the page for the newsletter. My father machined a metal template with openings to create the borders around each image on the page. In a darkroom, John and I used an enlarger to expose each image on a sheet of photographic paper one at a time. I think we created a total of 20 pages. So this resulted in having to create 120 exposures. All the while we had to be very careful to remember which image(s) we exposed and to keep the sheets of paper in the correct orientation so none were upside down. The only light we had was one dim red bulb. There was no “un-do” option. Finally at around 3:00 AM, we were done and placed the first sheet into the developer solution. Slowly the images came into view. And they were PERFECT! In fact all of them were! Ah, Engineers are truly the best! :-)
