My sons Boy Scout troop took a hike to Sierra Pelona Peak today.  This was the location of some proto-WVARC field day activity in June 1966, a year before WB6SST/6 at Rancho San Julian.  WB6KPN and WB6OLD manned the CW station at WB6OLD/6.
