I asked NN1N for an update - and it appears there is some momentum with the DVD.

Subject: Re: film DVD
Hi Mary -- alas your memory is just right. Here's what's happening. In doing the in-between narrative for the films, which I at least think makes them more interesting by putting them in context, I foolishly mentioned that I was writing a book about my ham radio experiences (which I am). So, I am, perhaps foolishly, awaiting the release of the films composite DVD until I'm done with the book. Why didn't somebody tell me that writing a book was hard?
The good news is that a good friend of mine has a first class production/post production company and has agreed to composite my DVD at his cost, which will keep my outlay in the four figures at least. I'll finish up the composite before the first of the year, and if people clamor for the book (what's the likelihood of that?) it'll act as further motivation to get the damn thing finished. It's called "The World's Best Hobby," incidentally.
Best to you.

Hi Dave,
I’ve received and inquiry about the status of the years-long project to create a DVD of the films you produced for ARRL. Any update? I seem to remember that you were going to do some significant editing?
