Beverage Control (ABC). Servers and their managers must pass an
online ABC administered RBS exam by August 31 to be
certified. If they are newly hired, they must pass the exam and
be certified 60 days from the first date of employment. ABC
developed the RBS program by holding meetings around the state
with stakeholders to gather input to determine the best method
of meeting the new training mandate. Based on input, ABC created

Hey all of you who are 02 Winegrowers,
<div>An associate contacted the CA ABC today and was told that
the new <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255,
0); font-size: medium;">Responsible Beverage Service (RBS)
Training Program and its training and certification are
required for “anyone pouring a drink” (I’m getting this
third hand, so I guess we can assume this relates to a
pourer that is selling alcohol). If that’s true, all of us
02 winegrowers are responsible for getting ourselves and
anyone else pouring for us certified. </span></div>

interpretation of the new law? Have you taken the
