<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;" class="">Hello Jeff,<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">We have used the Bird Gard system in our certified organic and dry-farmed vineyard for over 10 years. We have an area of 5 acres, and use the 4-speaker system for 4 acres and the 2 speaker system for the 1 acre that was added later. We use it in conjunction with mylar tape and bird scare balloons, knowing that no single method is adequate. We always put the systems up as late as possible (at first sign of bird damage) and take it down immediately after harvest. No matter what you do, birds will get used to your system. The idea is to hold them off as long as possible. I think the system helps, but it will depend on what the surrounding environment is like. We are imbedded in nature and surrounded by natural chaparral vegetation that doesn’t normally harbor a lot of pest birds, and there are very few other vineyards in our area. Isolation helps.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Steve Gliessman</div><div class="">Condor’s Hope Ranch</div><div class=""><a href="mailto:condor@condorshope.com" class="">condor@condorshope.com</a></div><div class=""><br class=""><div class="">
