Hello, everyone:

Below is a link to the recording of Paul Crout's presentation on
Vineyard Fertility/Nutrition at our Jan. 20 meeting.

Paul covered *"Fertility Planning A to Z"*: building a comprehensive
fertility program for wine grapes, including sample interpretation,
application methods, timing, rates, etc., forms of common fertilizers
(conventional and organic), the importance of nutrient balance, etc. The
presentation details the nutritional needs of the vines at key stages:
budbreak, pre-bloom, bloom, berry development, veraison, and
post-harvest. This is a 2-hour presentation, and he ends with a
discussion of organics.

Paul is an agronomist & viticulturist with over 26 years experience
working in and consulting for vineyards from Santa Barbara to Napa,
including managing 900 acres of wine grapes in Paso Robles, and is
currently the Agronomy-Organics Manager for the Western U.S. for Helena
Agri-Enterprises. /More about Paul Crout below./

/Please note: unfortunately there is an echo on the sound that makes it
distracting to listen to the recording, but it is do-able, and you have
all the slides. The recording was made with the knowledge of and
cooperation of Paul Crout for distribution to our members./

Thank you to Bob and Dean Prikazsky for hosting this meeting at El Vaquero.

Cheers,
