Hello, everyone:

Hybrid grapes are likely to play a significant role in the future of 
wine especially as climate change challenges traditional grape growing. 
Hybrids are more environmentally friendly, disease-resistant, and can 
handle a wider range of weather conditions.

Please join us as *Adam Huss*, winemaker and winery owner, Centralas 
Wine <https://www.centralaswine.com/>; Host/Producer of Beyond Organic 
Wine Podcast <https://www.organicwinepodcast.com/>, creator of Crenshaw 
Cru Polyculture Winegarden in Los Angeles (perennial polyculture based 
on permaculture principles), presents an exploration of hybrids and 
leads us in a tasting of hybrid wines. We will have 5-7 different wines 
to taste.

We also have a guest speaker,*Adam Tolmach, Ojai Vineyards*, who will 
tell us about his experience growing and making wine from recent hybrids 
that have been certified to be resistant to Pierce's Disease.We will get 
to sample a white and red he makes from those vines.

Since we are providing the wines to be tasted there is no need to bring 
a bottle to share this time. If you attend we invite (and encourage) you 
to pay your membership dues for 2025, if you haven't yet. Although not 
required it will help defray the expenses of this year's meetings, 
including the speaker and the wine for this next one. You can bring a 
check or cash to the meeting. Or pay using Zelle to info at vascm.org. And
