Mark your calendar: We have a Viticulture Assn. meeting planned! It has been awhile but we hope this excellent program will make up for the delay to some extent.

 

We are pleased that Dr. Mark Greenspan has agreed to speak to us on floor management (details to come so stay tuned). The meeting will include a walk and talk in the vineyard with Mark and Mitri Faravashi, winemaker at David Bruce. Mark was a vineyard consultant working with the David Bruce vineyards starting in 2006. Mark Greenspan, Ph.D, CPAg, CCA is President/Partner and Viticulturist, Advanced Viticulture, Inc. in Sonoma. He has nearly three decades of viticultural experience, comprised of scientific, technical and practical field efforts. Mark’s academic background includes a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, an M.S. in Viticulture and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Engineering, all from the University of California, Davis. Welcome to Vintage 2024. We are excited to see everyone and to start the new season with great new information and technology to help us all grow the best wine possible from below the ground and up! We are fortunate to have a packed agenda with new and timely information. The meeting will start promptly to fit everything in. Please be on time to get the most out of the info!

Please bring a bottle of wine to share with the group. Wine should be vineyard designate and ideally will represent the site and vintage. Tasting is informal and ongoing throughout the presentations. There will be a short reception after the talks to share details about your wine if you choose. Thank you.
