*Exceptional Pinot Noir Grapes from the Base of the Santa Cruz Mountains*



Our Pinot Noir grapes are grown at the base of the Santa Cruz Mountains, a
location that eloquently expresses the region's unique terroir while
contributing its own distinct characteristics. The vineyard's elevation of
400 feet provides a microclimate that enhances the complexity and
uniqueness of the grapes.



Established in 2002, the vineyard is meticulously managed with a 6' x 6'
spacing to allow for optimal sun exposure and healthy vine growth. The
grapes are nurtured in alluvial clay loam soils, with an east-facing aspect
that shelters them from the more intense afternoon sun, preserving their
freshness and aromatic intensity. The combination of these factors and the
unique terroir consistently yield grapes of remarkable quality.



The wines produced from these grapes have consistently earned acclaim from
esteemed wine critics:



*2019 Vintage:*

Antonio Gillani (Vinous Media, July 2021) depicts the Pinot Noir as
"bright, forward and seductive" with an "exotic quality that is hugely
appealing", awarding it 94 points.

Jeb Dunnuck (JebDunnuck.com, July 2021) appreciates the wine as "savory,
mineral-laced" with a "layered, rounded texture and outstanding length",
assigning a score of 93 points.



*2018 Vintage:*

Antonio Galloni (Vinous Media, September 2020) commends the Pinot Noir for
its "soft and caressing" profile with "lovely red berry fruit” and awards
it 94 points.

Jeb Dunnuck (JebDunnuck.com, September 2020) admires the wine for its
"perfume of spiced red fruits, dried flowers, new leather, and sappy green
herb-like aromas and flavors", bestowing it a score of 94 points.



*2016 Vintage*:

Antonio Galloni (Vinous Media, August 2018) hails the Pinot Noir for its
"beautifully lifted and precise" character, awarding it 94 points.

Jeb Dunnuck (JebDunnuck.com, February 2019) praises the wine as "elegant,
medium-bodied, supple" with "perfumed red fruit, dried flowers, and spice",
allotting it a score of 94 points.



*2015 Vintage:*

Jeb Dunnuck (JebDunnuck.com, August 2017) describes the Pinot Noir as
"smoking good" with "awesome complexity and depth", endorsing it with an
impressive 95 points.

Antonio Galloni (Vinous Media, August 2017) lauds the Pinot Noir for its
"body, textural richness and overall density", and awards it 95 points.
