VASCM: Virtual Viticulture Academy -Pruning Immersion Courses with Master Pruner Marco Tessari - Reg. Deadline This Friday

We are starting out the new year with a couple of opportunities with 
Fritz Westover of Virtual Viticulture Academy:

- *January 23:  A VASCM meeting* (on Zoom) with Fritz -- */Prepare for 
2023: From Pruning to Vineyard Management in a Heatwave. /*Save the 
date, and details will be coming in a separate email, because

- Fritz is also extending an invite to the following *Pruning Immersion 
Courses with Marco Tessari* and they are starting next week, with a 
registration deadline of this Friday:

*Starting Next Week on Jan. 10 - Two Pruning Immersion Courses over 3 
days: Cane Pruning and/or Spur Pruning -- *with International pruning 
expert/master pruner Marco Tessari. Learn how to prune properly and 
improve vine productivity and longevity.  These courses are normally 
available only to Virtual Viticulture Academy members but because of the 
valued partnership with the VASCM, Fritz has opened registration of 
these courses for all Santa Cruz Mountains members.  There are limited 
spots available and *registration closes this Friday, January 6**,* so 
sign up fast! There is a charge for each Immersion course of $449.

*Spur Pruning Immersion Course, Jan. 10, 11 & 24:* attendees will learn 
healthy pruning practices, deep dive into proper spur pruning 
techniques, and participate in an in-depth pruning review and critique 
of their own vines.

*Cane Pruning Immersion Course:  Jan. 10, 12 & 25*: attendees will learn 
healthy pruning practices, deep dive into proper cane pruning 
techniques, & participate in an in-depth pruning review & critique of 
their own vines.

Marco Tessari is an international pruning expert based out of 
Montebelluna, Italy. Marco works with vineyards all over the world in 
person and virtually and is revolutionizing the art and science of 
vineyard pruning.Pruning has consequences, but only through awareness, 
can you improve your technique. We need to prune every year, but we have 
to do it properly and in a way that’s respectful to the vine. After all, 
how your vines grow largely depends on how you treat them.
