Jeff,

I agree with Till.  We used one of the early bird alarms 15 - 18 years ago.  Worked for a year or two but the birds turned out to be smarter than the machine.  When I spotted a bird perched on top on my loud speaker, I gave up and switched to nets.

I used them years ago for about 3 years. Not very successful. When I talked to their service guy they asked me what kind of birds I have and offered to send me a reprogrammed chip. Since I was only able to specify some but not all of the birds, it was a nonstarter and I moved to nets.
