I will be shortly be picking merlot and cab franc at my small hillside Santa Cruz Mountains AVA vineyard in upper Los Altos Hills.  I expect approx 300 pounds of merlot and 360 pounds of cab franc.  They would make a great blend.  The vines are 29 years old and produce outstanding quality wines.  I am looking for a buyer and in this competitive environment I will sell for $1/pound, including picking.

Last year I contributed my 1998 Belle Epoque Cab Franc to a private tasting of 1998/1999 California Cabernets including BV Georges De Latour Private reserve, Corison Napa Valley, Chateau Montelena Napa Valley and Dominus Napa Valley.  My wine was the equal of the others by all measures.
