VASCM: UC Davis "On the Road" Viticulture Program Coming to Salinas March 8

UC Davis is bringing its 'On the Road' program to Salinas on March 8.  
The 'On the Road' program we had here last year in Santa Cruz was very 
valuable and you may want to consider attending this one, too. This is 
an opportunity to benefit from the research and expertise that UC Davis 
has to offer closer to home - without having to drive to Davis - and at 
a great bargain in terms of cost. On the program:

- Understanding how grapevine roots respond and recover, with Andrew 
Walker, Professor of V&E, UCD

- Precision viticulture, with Kaan Kurtural, UCCE Specialist in Viticulture

- Using plant material to promote early vine development, Larry Bettiga, 
Viticulture Farm Advisor, UCCE

- The effect of red blotch virus on wine quality, Anita Oberholster, 
UCCE Specialist, Enology

- Managing vector spread/virus diseases, with Neil McRoberts, Assoc. 
Professor of Plant Pathology, UCD
