Please note: the gate will be open between 1:30 - 2:00, then closed to 
keep out the deer.
If you arrive after 2:00 to find the gate closed, please call the number 
provided on the sign posted at the gate.

Larry Bettiga will give us a presentation on bud fruitfulness, 
discussing bud development, impacts on yield, pruning, and appropriate 
management.

Bring a bottle of wine to share. We will provide glasses. *Please note: 
bring your own chair. Chairs are not available.

Thank you to owner Dave Nagel for letting us meet at Ascona. The  4.5 
acre vineyard is currently planted to Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, 
Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Sangiovese; and an additional 8-10 acres is 
currently being planted. We are looking forward to seeing Ascona and 
hearing more about the developments there.

 From Hwy. 17:
- take the Bear Creek Rd. exit at Lexington Reservoir
- come off the exit ramp, pass Bear Creek Rd. and make a left onto Black 
Rd.
- follow Black Rd. all the way to the top where it dead ends at Skyline; 
make a left on Skyline
- Ascona Vineyard will be almost immediately on the left in about .1 mile
