The next VASCM meeting is on Weed Management with John Roncoroni, UCCE 
Weed Science Farm Advisor

Wednesday, June 1

**John Roncoroni, **UCCE Weed Science Farm Advisor*, specializes in 
vineyard weed management and speaks to growers throughout Northern 
California. John will talk about all things weeds, including: 
identifying weeds vs. cover crop; the status of organic herbicides; weed 
management options. With all the rain weeds are especially rampant this 
year.

Thank you to Dan Lokteff, owner and winemaker of Wrights Station for 
hosting.

This should be a nice follow-up to last week's tailgate at Gist Ranch. 
Thank you to Marshal White and Thomas Fogarty Winery for hosting the 
vineyard tour. See some photos from the tailgate below.

*Directions to Wrights Station, 24250 Loma Prieta Ave., Los Gatos*
- Take Hwy. 17 towards Santa Cruz, pass through Los Gatos and head up 
the hill
-  Exit Summit Rd.
- Make a right at the top of the exit ramp and _come across the 
overpass_, then make a left onto Summit Rd. (Do not make a left at the 
top of the exit ramp).
- Drive 3.5 miles to Loma Prieta Ave.
- Just past Regale Winery and Burrell School Winery, make a left onto 
Loma Prieta Ave. If you get to the Summit Store you've gone too far.
- Wrights Station is .3 miles up the road on the left.
