A Reminder - Meeting Today:
Preparing for Harvest and Cordon and Cane Pruning

Friday, August 5

at Branciforte Ridge Vineyard, Santa Cruz

Ron Bailey, grower and owner of Branciforte Ridge along with Ken 
Swegles, Coastal Range Vineyards Management, will lead a walk through 
the vineyard discussing pre-harvest irrigations, hedging, leaf pulling, 
and any other late-season issues. As well, we'll discuss and view the 
difference between cane and cordon pruned rows and hear why Branciforte 
Ridge has converted every other row from cordon to cane.

source of Pinot Noir for Jeff Emery, Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyard.

*Directions to Branciforte Ridge Vineyard, **591 Branciforte Ridge, 
Santa Cruz*
 From Hwy. 17:
- Take the Vine Hill exit (there is a big sign there for Clare's Retreat)
- Follow Vine Hill 2.3 miles to the end where it intersects Branciforte Dr.
- Bear right onto Branciforte Dr.
- At .1 mile make a right onto Branciforte Ridge and drive to the 
vineyard at the top of the hill. Pull into the bottom gate on the left.
