Hello, everyone:

Harvest is underway in the Santa Cruz Mountains! We wanted to have a
meeting before harvest started, but Pinot is coming in already. Our next
meeting is on diagnosing canopy symptoms:
*
Tuesday, August 25 at 3:00pm
*at Bargetto Winery in Soquel (directions below)

*The program: Diagnosing Canopy Symptoms. *

Larry Bettiga, UCCE Farm Advisor, will present and discuss how to use
canopy symptoms to determine the cause of abiotic and biological
disorders of grapevines. Nutrient deficiency, pest and disease,
physiological problems, and weather induced symptoms will be among those
discussed. This program can help shed some light on any symptoms you may
have been seeing in your vineyard - and what to do about it.

This is a good opportunity to network and talk about this current
harvest and our experiences and challenges in the vineyard during this
interesting growing season.

As usual, please bring a bottle of wine to share during our social hour
following the presentation.

Thank you to John Bargetto and the Bargetto Winery staff for hosting.

We look forward to seeing you at this next meeting. And, we are looking
at some additional meetings post-harvest.

Regards,
The VASCM Board
