VASCM: Recommendations on Crossarms for VSP Trellising?

Hi All,
We're planning to add more catch wires to our VSP trellising this year to get away from the large amount of tying we have to do using our existing single "movable" (two levels of crossarms, one wire) catch wire system on t-posts. As I look at the optional products for the additional crossarms, I see that there are inexpensive clip-on wire-type products that are attractive, but perhaps not as durable and the standard steel and u bolt stuff that is durable but more work to install and more costly. Anyone have any luck with the wire stuff? One is called a "JR Clip" at Vinbiz.com

Also, when it comes to the crossarm width decision, it would seem that a 4" wide arm at the bottom about 4" above the cordon wire and then 6" wide arms at each 12" height interval going up would be best. Our Chardonnay get sunburned a bit, so maybe wider at the top?

Your help is always very appreciated.
