VASCM: EcoFarm Conference This Week

The EcoFarm Conference starts tomorrow at Asilomar, and you can register 
as a walk-in if you'd like to attend any of the sessions. The program 
goes through Saturday, and includes a session on Friday on Energy 
Conservation that includes Jerold O'Brien of Silver Mountain talking 
about his energy sustainable practices; and with Rich Casale of the NRCS 
on Saturday talking about rainwater harvesting.

This is a diverse program, and in addition to these sessions of interest 
to growers are topics on nutrient management, optimizing nitrogen, 
mulching, weed control, etc.
