VASCM: Powdery Mildew: timing relative to rain

Since we’re having a good powdery mildew discussion, I have a couple question about dealing with mid-season rain.
What is the optimal timing for spray, simply ASAPractical when things start to dry back out ?
Is this affected by temperature, amount of rain, or chemical type such as Stylet or Actinovate ?
Is timing affected by the amount or duration of rain ?

Thanks in advance,
Tom.

Ken I'm very new at this also...I did what you might do...NOT SPRAY...well I am now having problems with my vines....I believe that if you don't spray and keep the spores down you will get a VERY BAD infestation of the mildew spores that will continue year to year ....
Keep your plants healthy, don't just worry about the grapes...mildew is bad...it has affected my vines..maybe you will be lucky.

Dear Members,

We planted bare-root Chardonnay vines in April 2012 and are not trying to grow any fruit yet. The vineyard looks very healthy but I just noticed that we have powdery mildew; I believe that I do not need to deal with, or worry about, it since I am not trying to grow fruit this season. Am I correct? All comments are appreciated.
