VASCM: Powdery Mildew

Dear Members,

We planted bare-root Chardonnay vines in April 2012 and are not trying to grow any fruit yet. The vineyard looks very healthy but I just noticed that we have powdery mildew; I believe that I do not need to deal with, or worry about, it since I am not trying to grow fruit this season.  Am I correct?  All comments are appreciated.
