VASCM: EGVM clarification - Quarantine is lifted!

Hi Everybody,

Just to clarify,  EGVM has been declared eradicated from our area.  This means that those producers affected by the local quarantine will no longer need to follow protocol with grapes from the SCM vineyards and wineries formerly affected by the quarantine.  

However there still are EGVM quarantines in effect in the State.  Be sure to check with your grape sources next season to see if you still need to follow protocol when importing grapes from those areas.

Local growers should remain vigilant as ever in the vineyard to monitor pest activity but the immediate threat for the time being is gone.

Now we can keep the focus on growing premium top quality grapes for our fabulous SCM wines!
