VASCM: Harvest has started in the Santa Cruz Mts.

In 1997, we started harvesting August 17 at CLC. I don't remember which
vineyards they were, but the grapes came fast and furious after we started.
We always flirted with labor day with the Erwin PN up on Loma Prieta Mtn.
every year - except 1998.

The only time I remember hearing about an August harvest was a small block
of Chard the Murphy's had in their backyard in the Los Altos Hills, the
early origin of Clos LaChance.
