UC Davis is now recommending on a case by case basis that Nothern California growers in the Central Coast, Napa and other regions experiencing near zero rainfall conditions consider irrigating their vines. They said that if we continue through the end of the month under these conditions, that 6-8 gallons per vine every 2-3 weeks would be beneficial to improving cluster development and size.
