FYI for those wondering about this unusal dry spell. I checked in and
received this response from UC Davis.
Yes, I would irrigate vines under these current conditions (and we are doing
so at our department vineyards). The question is how much is needed and
given the uniqueness of these circumstances, you can imagine that we don't
have a lot of experience/data to help guide us. Nevertheless, assuming you
have drip irrigation, I would put on a minimum 6 to 8 gallons per vine.
