VASCM: Next Meeting This Wed., Dec. 7: Recover from this year's disease pressure, get ready for 2012

A reminder about this week's VASCM meeting on Wednesday - followed by 
our annual holiday dinner on Friday the 9th.  RSVP required and payment 
in advance please for the dinner on Friday; not needed for the meeting 
on Wednesday.:

The next meeting of the Viticulture Assn. of the Santa Cruz Mountains is 
Wednesday, Dec. 7, 3:00pm at Bargetto Winery in Soquel. Our holiday 
dinner is Friday, Dec. 9, and although they are so close together we 
really wanted to have another meeting (with a presentation) before the 
end of the year.

The topic: Healthify Your Vines for Next Year's Vintage.
Speaker: Larry Bettiga, UC Cooperative Extension

This was a challenging year in the vineyard, with dismaying disease 
pressure. Latty Bettiga will talk about what we can do to improve vine 
health and transition to a healthy new year for the 2012 vintage.

Where:  Bargetto Winery, 3535 No. Main St., Soquel
When:  3:00pm

As usual, please bring a bottle of wine to share. *And bring your own 
wineglass.* /Dress warmly for the cellar./

Directions:  From Hwy. 1, take the Porter St./Bay Ave. exit. Head east 
(towards the hills) 1/2 block to Main St. Turn right on Main and 
continue for one mile to Bargetto Winery on the left.

sign, and make a right onto the Lower Perimeter Rd. before you get to 
the traffic signal at the college campus.
