I've signed up for this BSA seminar on 6 September, which looks good and was
recommended by Clark Smith.  It runs from 9am-1pm.  Apparently, they think
they'll have fruit ripe enough for evaluation.  ;>)

sampling rules using methods developed by the Institut Cooperatif du Vin
(ICV). Due to California's uncharacteristic weather this year, proper
sampling procedures are vital in order to assess the overall ripeness of the
fruit. This is a hands-on seminar with extensive tasting of berry samples.
