Lionshead Estates grapes are grown on a vineyard which encompasses 1.1 acres. Nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains, the varietals include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. Past harvests have produced full-bodied elegant wines with a rich and fruity bouquet, luscious flavors, and intense colors.

I have chosen not to produce wine from this year’s crop and as such, am interested in selling 100% of the grapes. The vine count and clones include;

Cabernet Sauvignon: 522 vines (clones 169 and 337)

Merlot: 30 vines (clone 347)

Cabernet Franc: 22 vines (clone 214)

The bulk of the vines were planted in January of 2001, with a portion added during May of 2008.

The yield for the last few years has been:

2010        8,180 lbs

2009       7,670 lbs

2008       3,900 lbs
