We have made an addition to the program for this Tuesday's VASCM meeting:

As well as Michael Schmidt of Spec Trellising (www.spectrellising.com/
<http://www.spectrellising.com/>), Rich Casale of NRCS and Bruce Manildi
will showcase the projects undertaken at Manildi Vineyards under the
NRCS' EQIP program. These include: mulching; annual and permanent ground
cover; erosion control; hedgerows; irrigation (lines, reservoirs); water
management; water catchment; solar pumps; flow meters; and transition to
organic. Bruce has really benefited from the EQIP program and since we
will be at his vineyard and orchards this will be a great opportunity to
hear all about it. You may get an idea of how you might benefit from
participation in the EQIP program yourself!

Michael Schmidt will talk about different types of netting and how best
to apply them in your vineyard, as well as trellising.

This promises to be a great program, followed by our annual summer BBQ,
a potluck this year.
