VASCM: Next Meeting Aug. 9 - Speaker on Netting & trellising, and Summer BBQ at Manildi Vineyard, Soquel

Hi, everyone:

As promised, here are the details about our August 9 meeting next week, 
which is also our Summer BBQ (a potluck this year).  We gave you a heads 
up a month ago on the date, and hope you have it on your calendar.

Our program and speaker:  Michael Schmidt of Spec Trellising 
(www.spectrellising.com/). Michael will talk about different types of 
netting and how best to apply them in your vineyard. He is also 
available to address issues about trellising and supplies.

The potluck BBQ:  This is a potluck event this year. Please bring food 
to share as follows, according to your last name:
Appetizers:     U thru Z
Salads:           O thru T
Side Dishes:  F thru N
Desserts:       A thru E

The VASCM is providing a roast pig from Bruce Manildi's farm. Fogline 
Farms is a CSA at Manildi Vineyards & Orchards.

Directions:  Off of Hwy. 1, take the Bay St./Porter Ave. exit in Soquel
Turn right onto So. Main St.
Continue on So. Main, cross Soquel Ave., pass Bargetto Winery
at 1 mile, bear right onto Glen Haven Rd.
Manildi Vineyard is 2.4 miles up the road, on the left
