VASCM: Holiday Party Next Friday; Winter Vine Talk Online

A reminder: Our annual holiday dinner is next Friday, Dec. 10, 6:30 at 
the Sesnon House on the Cabrillo College Campus. Today is the deadline 
for making reservations, so if you haven't yet and would still like to, 
please RSVP right away to June Salsbury,  junesalsbury at gmail.com. Seats 
are limited, and we are just about at the limit, but there are a few 
left. Dinner is $30/person, and includes appetizers and champagne toast. 
Bring a bottle of wine to share. We are looking forward to it, and to 
seeing you all there. It is a nice way to celebrate harvest, and the 
fruits of our labors.

As you may have noticed, we have not produced a newsletter since before 
harvest. But Prudy has done a Vine Talk, which is available on our 
website at http://www.vascm.org/ . This issue talks about post-harvest 
and winter practices, including cover crops, nutrition, gopher control. 
I encourage you to visit the website and read it there, as well as many 
previous Vine Talks that you can refer to.

The Board is planning some programs for early next year, which we hope 
to let you know about shortly.

And in the mean time, enjoy a healthy and happy holiday season.
