Hello Fellow Winegrowers,
A friend and colleague of mine from UC Davis has just finished his Masters in Viticulture is looking for full or part time employment in the SCMs. I have included his cover letter and part of his resume below. He is a fun, intelligent, easy-going guy and would make a great intern or employee. Feel free to contact Tom or myself for more information.

To Whom it May Concern,
I am looking for full-time or part-time work as a viticulturist. I
will finish my Master of Science degree in Viticulture from the
University of California at Davis in June 2009. When my major
professor, Dr. David Smart, went on sabbatical last year, I taught the
spring viticulture course (VEN 101C) at UCD in his place. I have a
strong understanding of viticulture, including soil management,
irrigation, trellising, canopy management, and integrated pest
management. Together with my education and research, my work
experiences in small-scale viticulture consulting and integrated pest
management have shaped my understanding of winegrape growing.
I have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. I get along well
with others and strive to appreciate people for whom they are. I look
forward to talking to you and learning more about your vineyard and
winemaking operation.
Thank you,
Tom Shapland
