Karen Ross, the president of CAWG, just sent this message about a survey
being conducted by researchers at UC Davis on the use of biological
fungicides. It is brief, and participation is voluntary, for anyone who
might want to weigh in with your two cents.

Dear colleagues,
I was contacted this week by a graduate student in Doug Gubler's lab
hoping to get the word out about a survey they are conducting on
biological fungicides. I explained to him that this time of year is
tough for getting grower participation but it is the timing he has to
work with so anything you can do to get the word out will be appreciated.
Powdery Mildew Management Survey
Researchers in the Department of Plant Pathology at UC Davis are
conducting a short survey to assess practices and perceptions relating
to the use of biological fungicides for control of grape powdery mildew
among California growers and vineyard managers. The survey is voluntary
and no personally-identifiable information will be published or
disseminated. Participants may also choose whether or not to be
entered into a drawing for gift cards valued at $100-$300. To
participate in the survey, please visit the following
