Now that we can catch a breath after harvest, let's get together and
celebrate the year in the vineyard - or at least making it through a
challenging year in the vineyard!
The Board has been planning a party. Invitations will shortly be in the
mail, but here are the details without further delay. Please note:
unlike usual meetings, this needs your RSVP; but like our usual
meetings, please bring a bottle(s) of wine to share with dinner:
VASCM Holiday Harvest Party
Friday, November 21
at Radonich Ranch
Highland Road, Los Gatos
5-6:00pm: We thought we would have a little fun with an aroma exercise,
to be led by Sue Slater, Instructor at Cabrillo College's Culinary Arts
and wine program. Sniff out the aromas in wine!
6-7:00pm: Appetizers and champagne. VASCM will provide the appetizers
and the harvest champagne toast.
7-9:00pm: Dinner. The 3-Course Menu: Spinach gorgonzola penne with
chicken and toasted pine nuts, mixed green salad, dessert of maple
bread pudding with warm berry compote and
heavy cream. Dinner prepared by Radonich Ranch caterer, Marky Carr.
The Dinner is $25/person. Please RSVP to Mary Lindsay at
mary at munsvineyard.com. We also ask payment in advance, so please send a
check to Mary Lindsay, PO Box 1877, Los Gatos 95031. Space is limited,
so it will be first come and your pre-payment will secure your place.
Please bring a bottle of wine for dinner - in fact, you may want to
bring more than one bottle of wine! It is a party, after all.
Thank you to Randy Radonich and Brad Radonich for letting us convene at
their ranch. The Radonich Ranch has had a long history in the Santa Cruz
Mountains. We will be in the community room, which many many years ago
used to be a packing house for the fruit orchard on the property.
Radonich Ranch is located at:

with the Old San Jose-Soquel Road; Radonich Ranch will be on the right
