I received the following email concerning possible vineyard property in
Saratoga. If you are interested, please feel free to contact the owner
directly.

The people who have the vineyard land are Julie Nevitt
and her husband Andrew. Her email address is
jmnevitt at sbcglobal.net . Her home phone number is
408-873-7549 and her cell phone number is
408-781-0869.
Additional information:
The slope is pretty steep for the upper part and then it goes to a much
flatter area. I would guess 20%+
then down to nearly flat. The slope wraps around and varies from South to
East
I would say at least half an acre, if we utilize it all nearly an acre but
surface area it is even more.
As I understand it acreage is done in two dimensions so if you are on a
steep slope your actual surface
area acreage is greater. The soil is clay. Some trees but not many and a
work shed but not a lot
of shade. No idea on the contract, whatever works. Nothing is planted and
the lower part of the east
facing has a good bit of scrub not too many trees need to be removed...maybe
three. We are
unincorporated Saratoga so we can do what we want with the trees. We have
some poison oak too. Whatever
grape grows best on this soil with this exposure works best for me, I am
guessing a red.
We would have to work on the fractional part as I have no idea what is a
normal fraction...(what fraction
of the wine the caretaker gets..) We don't have a well but we do have a
spring that
could easily be used for an ag well. If we tap it.
