The next meeting of the Viticulture Association is about Mildew!

Thursday, April 27   3:00pm

"The Mechanism of Mildew, and Spray Options"
With a presentation by Larry Bettiga, UC Farm Advisor & Viticulture 
Specialist

Location:  Alfaro Family Vineyards, Corralitos (directions below)
At 1:30, Richard Alfaro will give a walking tour of the vineyard for 
anyone interested.  The tour will cover about one mile of vineyard, 
including acreage not visible from the winery, and includes hills.  If 
interested, please meet at the winery at 1:30 and be prepared for a long 
vineyard walk.

This meeting will also include a business meeting and elections.  The Ag 
Commissioner will hand out free Vine Mealybug traps.

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WINE GLASS.  PLEASE ALSO BRING TWO BOTTLES OF 
WINE:  one for the meeting, and one as a donation to people who are 
helping us out (speakers, logo design, video production).

Please note the topic for this meeting has changed because of the 
continued rain and early mildew pressure.  We will schedule the meeting 
on organic growing in a few months.

Directions to Alfaro Family Vineyards:
 From Hwy. 1: Take the Freedom Blvd. Exit
- Left at the first stop sign onto Corralitos Rd. (which is several 
miles down Freedom Blvd.)
- Left on Hames Rd. at the next stop sign, just past Corralitos Market
- Alfaro Family Vineyards is on the right at the top of the hill after a 
little less than a mile
