 Hi Chuck,

George K5KG was kind enough to point out your e-mail to me.
 I had good luck... and quiet opperations...with a TRIPP-LITE 500 watt
Power Inverter.
George tried their ~100 watt unit, which prover to be not suitable
 for powering HF radio equipment.
 The model I own/use is the PV500 by Tripp-Lite.
 They do not sell direct.
The distributor I purchased the unit from was: Newark InOne.
 phone 773 907-5740 or 1-800-4-NEWARK Email rockside at newark.com
They are located nr Chichago, I believe, but ship from several
locations. [cud not find web page tonite]
Cost was $98.54 shipping was 28.77 (FedEx overnite the Thursday
before the FQP). Don't wait until the last minute like I did, hi.
The unit has 3 120v (standard 3 prong with ground) outlets and will
handle 800w peak and is rated for 500 watts.
It was quiet and is ruggedly built.

I was a very happy mobileer last FQP.
I used the unit to power only my laptop.
Next year I plan to run both the OMNI6+ and the computer off the PV500
in the hope of avoiding the 'raspy' cw note I sent last year with the
direct feed of the rig from my RV batterys as the voltage went low.

 Hope this helps some.
