I disagree, too! I will not be on during those hours and I am sure I am not alone. With the vast majority of members in NA why handicap that segment of the membership so securely?

I disagree. This would be a good time for low bands in NA. In CA, it would be 1 AM to 5 AM. If I took a nap, it would not be an issue. On the east coast, it’s even better 4 AM to 8 AM. You would have a couple of hours of low band to Asia with a couple of hours of high band to EU.

I suspect that “bad” for NA means virtually no participation given age/NA membership majority…..

The whole purpose of the three sessions is to have ONE bad session time for each geographical area. The three sessions are equally spread around the 24 hour clock.
I'm still trying and hope to attract more JAs !

Robs' suggestion may be right on target. It may be that the timing of Session 3 .. which should be prime for JA .. is one day too late for their weekend. So, moving things up a few hours might solve that issue as well as solve the interference problem with NA SPRINT.

Consider this:

Session 1 Sept 7 0000z-0359z (bad for EU)
Session 2 Sept 7 0800z-1159z (bad for NA)
Session 3 Sept 7 1600z-1959z (bad for JA)

First, all three are on the same GMT date. That's probably not important, but it's nice.
Second, everyone gets one good morning session, one good afternoon/evening session, and one middle-of-the-night session.

I put the spreadsheet on Google so you can see this graphically:

Thoughts?

One thing we should consider doing, I think, is maybe putting session 3 in before session 1. During the last two outings, people stopped doing session 3 after a couple of hours. It was pretty late on the east coast, for example. If it was made the first session, though, it would be a lot more attractive for the JAs and EUs, too because it keeps the whole thing confined to Saturday for them and it starts on Friday evening for NA players. We may even think about starting session 3 two hours earlier because it would keep the east coast guys on board.

I like this idea.

As for which weekend, I would opt for keeping it on the first full or partial weekend in September.

I agree.
