If anyone is interested in attending the World Youth ARDF Championships, let your IARU member society ARDF coordinator know so they can send in a Letter of Intent to Participate.
For those who haven’t heard, the Russian team has announced that it will not attend WYAC this year. There has been a ban on Russian men ages 16-60 from entering Ukraine while martial law has been imposed, and there are concerns that a new Ukrainian national law would potentially impose jail time for anyone entering Ukraine who had previously traveled to Crimea directly from Russia since the territory was seized by the Russians, as that would constitute a previous illegal entry into Ukrainian territory. This would potentially affect some Russian ARDFers who have traveled to Crimea for ARDF events in recent years. The press release doesn’t elaborate on how either of those concerns might have been resolved. If anyone is thinking of going, I would recommend contacting Igor Lazarev US0VA directly for more details.
