The organizing committee for the 2010 World ARDF Championship have
published their first bulletin:

At the 2008 World ARDF Championship, the host city being proposed was
Dubrovnik, an historic resort town on the Adriatic coast. Dubrovnik is
in the far south of Croatia, in an exclave physically separated from the
rest of the country by a small corridor of Bosnia-Herzegovina that extends to
the sea. Bulletin 0 announces that the host city for the championships will
instead be Opatija, also a beach resort on the Adriatic coast, but in the
northern part of Croatia, very close to the border with Slovenia, and about
40 miles ESE of Trieste, Italy. Opatija is probably 100 miles due east
of Venice as the crow flies (140 miles by road). It is a small town with
a population of about 8,000. You can find more info on Opatija here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opatija

No specific date for the championships has been set yet, but it will be
in September, 2010.

The chairman is Kresimir "Kreso" Kovarik 9A5K, a call I've worked many
times in HF DX contsts. He's 35 years old and has a fairly simple web site
of his own. Among other things, he writes ham radio logging software:
