[ARDF] Fox Hunt Sunday

The Eastside Outdoor Ham Club located in
Terre Haute, Indiana, will be hosting a foot
fox hunt on Sunday, 10/28/2007, at Hawthorn
Park located on the eastside of Terre Haute.

There will be five transmitters hidden in the
park each transmitting for 1 minute out of
every 5 minutes on a frequency of 147.450 MHz.
The transmitters will turn on at 2:00 PM EDT.

The starting point in the park is Tupelo Shelter.
Each transmitter will identify in MCW as MOE,
MOI, MOS, MOH, and MO5, and be marked
with a 3 digit serial number.  The first hunter to
return to the starting point with the correct
serial numbers for the transmitters wins.  First
prize, and all prizes, is bragging rights.

The hunt ends at 4:00 PM EDT.

To get to Terre Haute get on I-70 and exit
at State Road 46, Exit 11.  Go north
on 46 about 3 miles to US Highway 40.
Go east on 40 about 1 mile to Hunt
Road.  Go north on Hunt Road about
half a mile to Old Maple Avenue.  Go
west on Old Maple Avenue about half
a mile to the park entrance on the south,
the left, side of the road.

To get to Tupelo Shelter in the park turn
east on the main park road.  Go pass the
big parking area, the boat ramp, and
Dogwood Shelter all the way back to
Tupelo Shelter.
