Below is the invitation to the IARU Region 3 Championships in Japan this
coming September. Bob Cooley KF6VSE represented USA (and won two medals!) at the
R3 Champs in 2003. If you would like to go and compete as a R2 visitor
representing USA this year, please contact me.

Monday, September 19th to Saturday, September 24th 2005
Tentative Schedule:
September 2005 - Day - Event
19th Monday = Arrival, Registration
20th Tuesday = Equipment Check, Training and Opening Ceremony
21st Wednesday = 144 MHz ARDF Competition & Medal Presentation
22nd Thursday = Free Day, Local Tour
23rd Friday = 3.5 MHz ARDF Competition & Medal Presentation,
Closing Ceremony and Banquet
24th Saturday = Departure
Venue:
Northern part of Niigata Prefecture, Japan
Accommodation:
Gozu Spa Area, Agano City, Niigata Prefecture, Japan
Participation:
IARU Member Society, only ONE (1) team made up to 3 competitors
per category.
Rules:
IARU Region 3 ARDF Rules, except categories "B2.1 a) through d)"
and its related Articles will be as follows:
Female (W), Male (M), Age
W 19, M 19 = 19 and under as at December 31st 2005
W 21, M 21 = No limitation
W 35 = 35 and older as at January 1st 2005
M 40 = 40 and older as at January 1st 2005
W 50, M 50 = 50 and older as at January 1st 2005
M 60 = 60 and older as at January 1st 2005
Participation Fees:
Japanese Yen 40,000.- per person. (in Japanese currency ONLY)
(includes; full board from 19th evening to 24th morning, free day tour
and banquet on 23rd evening)

Nationals of countries with reciprocal visa exemption arrangements with

in obtaining Japanese entry visa, please let us know.
Weather:
In September, average temperature is about 20 degrees Celsius.
Deadline Date:
