<font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Sue Slater at Cabrillo
College is offering two exceptional wine classes this Fall, and
these are open to everyone interested to attend:<br>
<br>
<br>
<b>Wine Faults</b>: explores common faults and problems found in
wine through sensory evaluation and discussion. This is a hybrid
online class taught by Deborah Parker Wong. St</font><font
face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">udents meet at the beginning
of the class series on Wed., Aug. 29 to get the kit to sully the
wines, and then again in December to take the practical final. In
between those meetings the classes are taught by Parker Wong
online with the Zoom platform, which is like Skype except that she
can record the lecture in case you miss it. You'll learn about
common wine faults, what went wrong, and in some cases how to

<b>French Wines</b>: a detailed exploration of French wines
through tastings and lectures, including viniculture, wine laws,
sensory evaluation. </font><br>
<font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Tuesdays, from 6-9. It
starts on August 28, and goes until mid-December.<br>

Must be 21 for both, and materials fees apply to both. <br>

Sue is the Department Chair and Culinary and Wine Instructor for
the Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management program at
Cabrillo College.<br>

<b>About Deborah Parker Wong:</b><br>
In addition to her work as a journalist, Deborah is an adjunct
professor in the wine studies program at Santa Rosa Junior
College and offers private certification courses as an approved
program provider for the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. She
presents tastings and educational seminars to trade and consumer
audiences and judges several wine competitions each year. She
holds the Wine and Spirits Education Trust Diploma, is a member
of the London-based Circle of Wine Writers and the California
Teachers’ Association. Prior to her career as a journalist,
Deborah co-directed The Medialink Group, a public relations and
strategic marketing agency serving high-technology and luxury
consumer goods clients.<br>
